We should talk some time. I've been thinking about buying a house and setting it up as a coffee shop environment, but without the prerequisite of drinking coffee. It would also include business amenities like conference rooms, presentation displays, printers, possibly servers, etc. The idea is to create a place where independent contractors can come to work that would help fill the social and collaborative gap missing from self employment. Since I work mostly with subcontractors, it would act as an office space for my firm - but I like the idea of opening it up to other companies or individuals on a coop type basis.

Like this or this? I've avoided stuff like that so far because they tend to be pretty expensive, noisy, and physically insecure. If you could solve those problems, you might have a hit on your hands.
